*Wrestleman and The Last Match*
The lights in the community hall flickered. Abuja was hot, and the generator was dying.
Wrestleman wasn’t famous. By day he was Tunde, a bus conductor. By night, he put on a red mask and fought for neighborhood pride, ₦10,000, and bragging rights.
Tonight was different. The promoter, Mr. K, whispered: “Lose on purpose. Take the ₦50,000. Or the hall gets shut down tomorrow.”
Across the ring stood Bonebreaker. 120kg. No mercy. Behind him, kids from the estate pressed their faces to the gate. They wore paper masks they’d made of Wrestleman.
The bell rang.
Bonebreaker charged. Tunde dodged. The crowd screamed. In 30 seconds he could end it — take the dive, take the money, save the hall another way.
But one kid yelled: “Wrestleman don’t quit!”
Tunde felt the old ache in his shoulder. He remembered why he started: not for money, but because when he wrestled, people forgot their problems for 10 minutes.
So he made a choice.
He didn’t throw the match. He fought. Every dropkick, every counter. The generator coughed. The lights dimmed. For one minute it was just him, Bonebreaker, and 200 people holding their breath.
He pinned Bonebreaker at 9:59pm. The lights died at 10:00pm.
In the dark, the crowd chanted his name anyway.
Mr. K was furious. But the next morning, three parents came with donations. “Keep the hall open,” they said. “We need Wrestleman.” And that's the end of the story feel free to comment in the comment section and if you have any questions please you can ask and I will answer fyp guys jdjrbdhdjjdjdjjdjdjdjdjdhehhehejejjejdjdjdjdjdjdjdjdjduieiekekejnddj ejejjejee ejejehe eiejeje hejeje euueieue eieieieje euwhe.
